We took the boys to the zoo and they asked the gender of each animal.

We have taught our boys the anatomically correct terms for their body parts, plus they also know the correct terms for a female’s body parts (Lots of questions during bathroom breaks 🤣).

It seems this is the natural progression of applying what they have learned by asking questions. In some animals it is more obvious which is the male or female (deer, birds, etc.) because of size or color.

At the @centralflzoo they asked me each time if the animal was a boy or girl. Finally I told them that maybe we should ask someone who worked there because I didn’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️

And by the time we found an employee they had already forgotten the question 😂
